JAGINDAS is an electrifying retro Rock band from Malaysia, known for their raw vocal power, intense guitar riffs, and dynamic drumming. With a sound that fuses rich rock melodies with a youthful energy, they draw inspiration from iconic bands like Radio Moscow, The White Stripes, The Black Keys, and Led Zeppelin.
Formed in early 2020, the band consists of drummer Asyraf Jaafar (Acab), bassist Amirul Akmal (Parot) and guitarist/vocalist Izyan Hakim (Boolat). Despite a brief setback due to the Covid-19 pandemic, JAGINDAS made a triumphant return with their debut performance at the Rocking Rhythm Fest “Hari Rock Negara 2022.” Their live performance of “Aku Tak Peduli” garnered nearly 3,000 views on YouTube, propelling them into the spotlight. The band’s impressive showing in the “Pentas Kita” competition organized by ATAS ANGIN, where they placed in the top 5 for most legitimate views, further solidified their growing reputation.
JAGINDAS is focused on expanding their presence by performing at local gigs and festivals, bringing their unique brand of blues/rock to a wider audience.
RELEASES
JAGINDAS aspires to be one of Malaysia's top Rock bands. They’ve made their mark with performances at events like the Atas Angin Rock Show, Rantai Art Festival, and Blues with Nature Fest, while also opening for prominent acts such as XPDC, OAG, Kopratasa, Ramli Sarip and Blues Gang.

In 2022, JAGINDAS released their debut EP, featuring 5 original tracks recorded at Parallel Records in collaboration with Aimran Zaman, who has worked with AKTA, Pascasini, and numerous other local artists.

REVIEW EXCERPTS
"Duo Rock n Roll/Blues Malaysia, Jagindas baharu sahaja mengeluarkan debut EP mereka ‘Orang Biru’ pada September 2022. Saya sememangnya tidak familiar dengan Rock n Roll/Blues (walaupun Heavy Metal arguably descended from these) tapi saya kira ini adalah pandangan jujur selepas kali pertama mendengar mereka.
Orang Biru dipersembahkan dengan hanya dua orang line-up sebagaimana persembahan live mereka. Jadi Jagindas mempunyai raw touch dan authenticity yang carried over daripada recording kepada live show mereka. Bass noticeably missing daripada mix, namun saya tak hairan pun disebabkan oleh permainan gitar yang penuh attitude (listen to the slide guitar!), hard hitting drumming dan thunderous vocals sudah cukup untuk saya melupakan ketidakhadiran bass. In fact, screw bass. ‘Orang Biru’ terasa seperti mendengar rakaman dua rakan yang enjoy themselves performing a kick-ass record. Dengan setup yang minimalis, EP ini tidak overpowering each elements sebaliknya wujud secara harmoni. Jagindas terasa seperti band yang memainkan stail Americana sekaligus menjadikan mereka detached daripada realiti scene tempatan. Atau mungkin saja saya yang tak tau lol.
Orang Biru tidak mempunyai lagu-lagu filler memandangkan semua lagu-lagunya mempunyai kekuatan tersendiri untuk menarik pendengar. Personally untuk saya, gaya Rock n Roll/Blues mereka yang eksotik; Americana dengan nyanyian bahasa ibunda feels like breath of fresh air. Don’t sleep on this and catch them live whenever you can. Orang Biru adalah bukti muzik Americana boleh ‘masuk’ sempurna dengan bahasa ibunda on top of the attitude. I love it.
